Huey Mai Dtam is our coffee from this region.
Huey Mai Dtam” translates to Blackwood Stream. Located in Mae Hong Son Province, Northern Thailand. Farms are located at 1200 – 1300 meters, the elevation and cloud cover are too much for traditional agricultural crops. When coffee cultivation was introduced, it was a great boon for these four villages and the surrounding area. Numerous families are now able to develop economically. These are shade grown, arabica, high density beans that are one of our favorites from Thailand. From a practical view of agriculture these coffees are organically grown, and the farmers are paid a price far above fair-trade standard.
